Winter Break: December 23, 2022 to January 2, 2023
Students Return: January 3, 2023

The gift of LOVE…Mrs. Gantt’s Kinderkids made very personalized puzzles for a friend for the class gift exchange! What a great time thinking of others, being creative, and GIVING from the heart, not from the store!

Good Evening Wildcat Families,
Based on the potential timing of winter precipitation coupled with our scheduled noon dismissal and in an abundance of caution, Greenwood School District will transition to our remote model of instruction for tomorrow, Thursday, December 22nd. Be safe and Happy Holidays to all of our Wildcat families.

Mrs. Anderson’s class was feeling “merry and bright” as they participated in a class Book Exchange. Now we all have some new reading material for our upcoming break!

Ms. Johnson’s Kindergarten has been discussing the importance of “giving” instead of “getting” this holiday season. Her kinderkids enjoyed making slime today to give as a gift to a friend!

Miss Pauling’s and Mrs. Seibert’s friends built gingerbread houses today. They completed a “how to” writing to document each step that is needed in the process.

Elementary students kicked off the week with a visit from the Wildcat at our Roar Rally and enjoyed a holiday performance from Out of the Blue.

Miss Pauling’s and Mrs. Seibert’s friends created their own instruments today! They read the book “Gingerbread Christmas” and were inspired. They first studied how vibrations create sound, and then went to work! Some instruments were even designed to make more than one sound!

Good Evening Greenwood Families,
Based on the most recent updates of road closures, power outages, precipitation and temperature variations across our district, Greenwood School District will operate on a two hour delay schedule for tomorrow, Friday, December 16. Be safe.

All three Greenwood basketball games scheduled for today (Boys JV/Varsity vs. Shalom Christian, Girls JV/Varsity @ Line Mountain, Boys Junior High @ Upper Dauphin) have been postponed.

Good Evening Wildcat Families,
Winter weather is upon us. Based on the timing, duration and potential impact of the forecasted precipitation, Greenwood School District will transition to our remote model of instruction for tomorrow, Thursday, December 15. Please look for communication from your building principal or teacher regarding your academic expectations and schedule. Be safe.

Our Roar Rally winners had a mini holiday party. They got to paint suncatchers, enjoy hot chocolate, and sing along to some holiday tunes. Keep up your "PAWSOME" behavior!

Elementary Holiday Spirit Week
December 19th-22nd

First Graders in Mrs. Seibert's class and Miss Pauling's class researched several jobs and chose their favorite to write about. They took notes and wrote several drafts before finishing their final copy for the book. The students encouraged each other and worked as a team to complete this special project. They held an Class Author Night to share their books with their families. Click on the link and enjoy the pictures.

Christmas tree challenge! Can you make a tree using 6 different sizes of green strips? Mrs. Gantt’s class - challenge accepted! Amazing creativity!

Earlier today, Mrs. Campbell's Senior English classes completed "Breakout Box" activities (think of it as a sort of "High School Escape Room") as an introduction to Shakespeare's Macbeth.
