First grade celebrated dental health month in February with a special dentist day! They even dressed up to represent the occupation! They had a visit from our local dentist who shared the coolest slides! We learned about all things teeth! We also experimented with eggs and different drinks. The kiddos soaked the shells to see the effects it has on the enamel on our teeth.
This week, the Class of 2027 presented their career projects in the annual 9th grade Career Fair, which is open to students and staff in the MS/HS. Posters, infographics, websites, brochures, and live presentations were on display, and students answered questions about their research. Great job!
The Greenwood Girls Basketball team has advanced to the Round of 8! Greenwood will face Linville Hill in a Quarterfinal game on Saturday March 16, 2024 at Central Dauphin East HS, Harrisburg.

2nd grade worked hard to create nonfiction books on the iPad. Today they got to read them to first graders and kinder kids! Everyone enjoyed it!

Next week we will be celebrating Read Across America. Because of this, we will be having a spirit week! This year, we have decided to join the One School, One Book program. Each kiddo will be getting the book "Rump" to read both at school and at home. Keep an eye out for more information regarding when and where to read the book and cool ways to earn prizes!!

Reminder that the Greenwood School District will be dismissing early tomorrow, Thursday, February 29th at 1:00 PM. This dismissal will accommodate the high demand to support the Boys Varsity Basketball Team as they play in the District 3 Class A Boys Championship game against Linville Hill at the Hershey Giant Center at 2:45PM.
The 1:00PM Thursday dismissal will be for ALL students, grades K-12.
Our district will operate on a regular full day schedule Friday, March 1st.
Yes, you are seeing that correctly! Our Read-A-Thon event raised $12,025.00! Half of that money will go to our student fund and half of it will go to the fight against childhood cancer. We are so very thankful for how hard our students worked during the Read-A-Thon, but we are also so very thankful that our community saw the importance of what we were doing and supported us in a very big way!
