The Freshman Class attended the annual STEM Summit at East Penn HS today where they explored hands-on activities in many STEM fields. Using teamwork and problem-solving, they learned about chemistry, biology, electrical engineering, plumbing, environmental science, civil engineering, manufacturing, math/logic, and robotics.











Mrs. Woodard's 7th Grade Social Studies has been having a blast using Virtual Reality to discover more about life in Ancient Greece! From visiting the Athenian Parthenon to walking around an Olympic arena, students are getting the chance to see ancient History in a whole new way!




Kindergarten is hosting their annual popcorn sale this week.
The sale will take place at recess on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Cost per bag is $1.

Our elementary students were treated to a special visit from children's book author, Anita Stump, today. She shared her story, Red and the Glorious Day, with them, and also talked about kindness and having big dreams! Thank you Anita for coming to share your story with us!










Greenwood Elementary has been hard at work preparing our garden for growing season. We would like to send a special thank you to Kids Garden Club, Penn State Health and Spiral Path Farms for donating materials for each classroom to have their own compost kit! Students will learn about the importance of nutrient rich soil, while also having the opportunity to have a first hand experience at watching the magic soil has to decompose organic material. Stay tuned!


Senior, Tatum Davis, auditioned for and represented Greenwood School District at the 2025 PMEA District 7 Jazz Festival. Schools from Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York counties send students to the audition, and Tatum was the first Greenwood student to ever make it into the festival…placing an impressive 2nd in her section.


Senior chorus member, Brodie Woodard, auditioned for and made it into the 2025 PMEA District Chorus Festival. The concert was hosted by Central York High School.


Congratulations to Greenwood's senior soccer player, Ben Brinser, for being awarded the Tri-Valley Chapter of PIAA Officials 2025 Sportsmanship Award.


Students in Global Agriculture experienced chopsticks while working through a lesson about sustainability.

Do you have a kiddo who loves all things building, experimenting, and creating? STEM Camp is perfect for them! This year we are so excited to roll out our new STEM Summer Camp on June 9th-11th. This opportunity is for our wildcats in grades 3-5. This camp is designed to inspire young minds with hands-on activities and engaging projects in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. STEM Camp is $40 and will include a camp t-shirt. This will be an interactive and fun experience for Greenwood Elementary students to explore scientific questions and solve hands-on engineering design problems. First grade would like to thank the PA Farm Bureau for teaching about the importance of composting! We loved the hands on presentation and interactive sticker compost pages.









Tomorrow is Bingo For Books! Come out and enjoy a fun game of bingo and support your kiddos love for reading!! Each kiddo is guaranteed a book! We will also be having a food stand to support our PTO. While you are saving those aluminum cans, make sure you remove the pop-tops for our April Pop-Top PTO Challenge! Together we will be raising money for the Ronald McDonald House. Collections will occur on the last school day of each week in April. The homeroom with the heaviest weight by the end of the month will receive a pizza party sponsored by the PTO! The collection bins are already in homerooms if you are interested in getting a head start!
