Greenwood School District

On October 9th, Junior, Quinlin McAllister and Sophomore, Gunnar Hartley attended Senator Rothman's Senator for a Day Program at the Capitol Building in Harrisburg. Quinlin served on the Education Committee and discussed the topics of cell phones in schools and PIAA sanctioned sports counting as physical education requirements for graduation. Gunnar served on the Transportation Committee and discussed raising the driving age and eliminating gas taxes. Both students learned more about the legislative process while also getting the opportunity to work with students from other schools within the Capitol Building. Thank you to Senator Rothman and his staff for providing this great educational experience for our students!
