I hope you and your family are feeling rested and happy after enjoying the summer sun! Our team is very excited to welcome back all of our students here to Greenwood Elementary School for another fantastic year of learning and fun.
The first day of school is Wednesday, August 23, 2023.

Kindergarten Meet & Greet for our incoming Kindergarten Students, August 17 from 6:00-7:00 PM
Sixth Grade Transition Academy Orientation for students entering 6th Grade, August 17 from 7:00-8:00 PM
Greenwood Elementary School’s Back-to-School Night for students in grades 1-5 Thursday, September 7 from 5:30-7:00 PM
Additional information about the start of school will be sent electronically and posted on our webpage. Please check our webpage, your personal email, Greenwood School District Facebook Page regularly, as we get closer to the start of the year.
Now for the news you have all been waiting for:
We know you are very excited to know who your child’s teacher will be. PowerSchool access has been turned on and you can find your child’s homeroom teacher by logging into your parent/guardian or student account at the following website: https://powerschool.greenwoodsd.org/public/.
Kindergarten Families:
Packets sharing your kindergartener’s teacher and welcome information have been mailed and should be arriving to you very soon. Information on how to set up your parent account in PowerSchool will be sent home on the first day of school. We look forward to seeing you at Kindergarten Meet & Greet on August 17 from 6:00-7:00 PM.
