The Mobile Dentist will be at Greenwood Elementary on April 10, 2019. If you have already sent in a form for the 2018-2019 school year, your child will be scheduled by the mobile dentist team for a second visit. If you have not applied and would like to take advantage of this service please complete the form that will be sent home with students K through 8. Greenwood Elementary will be holding Kindergarten Registration for the 2019-20 school year on Friday, April 5, 2019. In order for your child to be eligible for Kindergarten, he/she must be 5 years of age before September 1, 2019. This is a growing problem with adolescents that has been described as “an epidemic” by health experts. Many kids are misinformed and think vaping/juulingis safe.
School Health Law requires three physical examinations during your child's school years (ENTRY INTO SCHOOL, GRADES SIX AND ELEVEN). These periodic examinations can properly assess your child's health and development. The school physician will be at both schools to complete this examination on February 21, 2019. You may prefer to have this exam completed by your private physician. Private exam forms are available on the school website or by contacting the nurse's office (Elementary Ext. 1403 or High School Ext. 1020). Please have completed private exam forms to the nurse by April 1, 2019.
