• ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS IN GRADES 9-12

    THE GREENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL

    FBLA WANTS YOU!!!

     

    The Greenwood High School Future Business Leaders of America is inviting all students that have an interest in becoming a successful business leader to come and watch what we do at a regular meeting.

     

    Meetings are held in B-7 every club period.

     

    There are a number of leadership positions that must be filled.  Here is a list of the positions that are available:

    • President--The president presides over all meetings and creates agendas for each club meeting.
    • Vice President--The vice president's main role is to support the president.  If the president cannot make a meeting or a conference, the vice president will take command of the president's job until the president is present.
    • Secretary--The secretary’s job is to take detailed notes on what happens at each meetings.  You will work on the computer most of the time.
    • Treasurer--The treasurer handles all money affairs and proceeds coming in and going out of the FBLA.  This person must be very reliable and responsible.  Knowledge of Excel is beneficial.
    • Historian/Reporter--The historian keeps a scrapebook and takes pictures of each event we have. The reporter writes about events that we have and submits the articles to Greenwood's newspaper and to the national newspaper.  Reports should also be placed on Greenwood's FBLA Web site. 
    • Parliamentarian--The parliamentarian needs to know proper parliamentary procedure and to make sure that this is followed at each meeting.  He/she also needs to create the agenda for each meeting.
    • School Store Manager--The manager is in charge of making sure there are cashiers during each lunch period the store is open.  He/she is responsible for making and handing out the monthly work schedule.
    • Fundraiser Manager--The manager must help create and implement all fundraising activities held by the club.
    • Special Events Coordinator--This coordinator is the chairperson for all activities.  He/She obtains approval for all activities from the principal and in charge of proper advertising of each event.
    • Community Service Coordinator--The coordinator creates a committee, develops a community service project to be completed during the school year.
